Just got back from a weekend at the coast of NC. Got up very early Saturday morning to catch the sunrise. Grabbed my 500/4 and headed down to the beach. Was planning on capturing the extra large version of the sun. We usually vacation there in early September when the sun rises and sets in more favorable positions. I was surprised at how favorable. As the sun began to make its appearance, I could see that rather than coming up over the ocean, it was rising over land and buildings. That left me with one option. I attempted to incorporate the color in the sky as a background with our coastal sea oats offering a foreground.
It was more of an abstract type shot than I originally planned. Did my best to adapt to the situation. Not sure if this works, let me know what you think.
I guess I'll have to wait until September to attempt my original plan.
Nice save of your morning session efforts. That definitely worked for a very pleasant image..
The comments about the heat and humidity leave me grateful of my ignorance of east coast weather patterns. It was 50 degrees this morning when I got up here in the NW.
