Nice shot and good subject for BW. Like this composition with the interesting arcs and lines, interesting shadows.
Takes me back to college. Except that he looks old enough to be teaching. I can relate.
DOF is well-chosen.
I'd crop off the extreme top edge, removing the object top left and either cropping out or toning down the specular highlight upper right.
