Just expressing an opinion. I'll take back what I said.

You're kidding right !!!! Tell me you're kidding before I start nitpicking too...BTW, I was focusing on the veil in the first shot not the eyes, I know how to manual focus....didn't realize I was asking for critique...jeeeesh

No worries Bobby....wasn't looking for a sprawl all is good..... FYI I had 15 mins to pose 3 locations with this model so the hair on the face was the last thing I was worried about....

Thanks for the comment.
The photo was taken during a rehearsal dinner before the wedding day, grandma read a lovely poem for the new couple, great moment and very touching, she was 90+ years old that time...
We all thought she would pass the poem to the couple after she finished the reading, but she held it for a moment and pass it to them, acted like a young kid.
Cheers
This image has Cartier-Bresson written all over it. One of the most touching images I've seen on this site for some time.

Me too. In fact, I rarely shoot at f1.2 although many folks here seem to think that the 85L is really only suited for f1.2 .... otherwise the 85/1.8 can do the job. My idea of thin DOF is shooting at f2 and most of the time in the studio I would shoot at f8. So it's nice to see you shoot at f9!
The 85L is like a Porsche. You don't need to shoot at f1.2 or drive at high speed to attract the prettiest girls!

haha....I do use 85/1.2L in studio shoot a lot @ f/9 or so, for location strobed shoot, I usually use it @ f/4 on FF bodies..

And one of my kitties ....
Bobby, Brian (aka BMStudios) asked me to critique some of your images on his behalf.
I hope you don't mind.
(Kidding, just kidding )
Either way, the kitty is lovely, posed beautifully, framed very well and focus has been established securely on her eyes.
Only a couple of nits.......on my trusty monitor the white hair on the kitty seems overexposed and colours appear oversaturated and slightly shifted in hue, judging by the pinks. Then again, I am half colour blind, so you shouldn't listen to me anyways.

Due to the poor lighting, w/o flash that's all I could do.....
There you go, Lide....you have shown us here very well that camera high ISO capabilty, monstrous Mp, DR, super lens sharpness and speed.........all that which fills a page upon page on this forum pales in importance when compared to a "simple" yet uncommon skill of capturing and framing right scenes and right moments.
