Thanks Jason, I miss London already and it's only been a little over a week that I've been back in the states

Also pick one up again! they're one of the best deals on the used market right now, alongside the D200! You can always have a spare fun body

Not the greatest when it comes to high iso, but I still love the camera. If only it was as good at high isos as the D1h.

I'm sure the D300s would serve you better overall, though the D2h is plenty for me as of now.
Now I'm just waiting for that D700(s or x) or D800 to come out so the prices of D700's fall a bit and I can buy one

I've said it before, and I'll say it again... there was some serious black voodoo magic happening on those juicy 4.1 million pixels. Even though it was fairly low resolution, the shots that came out of my D2H always printed beautifully, even the noisier shots in the ISO 640-1600 range. On a screen the noise sucked on the higher ISO shots, but on a glossy it looked like film to my eyes. :sigh: Must... resist... urge... to buy... another one!

D2HS, Nikkor 85mm f/1.8, f8.0, 1/1500, -0.7 EV, ISO 200, handheld.

[ Trying to experiment with upload pixel size and dpi as quality is lousy. Maybe it is because I am uploading .jpg rather than referencing a website pic? And FM is compressing it? ]

I think that part of it is that if I view this picture thread with my web browser's zoom set to magnify (zoom in) rather than the normal viewing size then I get some pixelation of my posted pictures.

I bought it as a back up to my D3 and am almost enjoying it more.

I too have a D2Hs as a backup to my D3. I like the colors from the D2Hs better than the D3. It's nice to work with small files for a change too. Really a great, fast camera.
