Had a blast with these two, they were very fun and "easy" to shoot. I know the processing seems all over, however in each "area" I changed up the variety of processing as the client requested it.
This is an interesting set of images with lots of variety.
I can imagine they will be pleased.

And...regarding the technical nitty gritty and "critique"....I just think it is best that you continue experimenting and hold yourself to IMPROVE each session. LOOK at them fresh some day and look for the weaknesses YOU can see...and then make a point of making that weakness a strength later.

OK....take a look at the shot that shows the woman's head and the man's head is cut in half. Would it have made the image weaker if the man's head and expression showed too? I don't think so. I think it would have been a MUCH stronger image of a COUPLE. As shown, it looks more like what a girl posts on her Match.com page AFTER the breakup.

Andrew: YES! I knew it was missing something, just didn't know what. I will be sure to try that in the future and see how it works out. I suspect that the back rim light is what it's missing as you suggest.
Steadman: As always, a very proficient review. I try to approach each shoot as "What is my weakest ability, what am I focusing on this session". So far it's working well.
As for your critique on #4, thank you. I went back and looked at some of the other images I snagged in this spot and I don't have any of both in this tight crop. As your skill and knowledge is far beyond mine, I know you speak from experience. I will be sure to try it next time. I know the "head chop" isn't for everyone, however the intent of this shot is her and her closeness to her "man".
. The lighting in BW pics is nice
