Very interesting indeed. How much has Canon glass gone up recently? I just bought my wife a Rebel XSi a few days ago and since then, the price has gone up a whopping $55 bucks (or about 10%). I'm glad I bought when I did!

Well, unfortunately for me the wedding season just started and I had some other stuff like insurance to take care of first, so I wasn't able to get the 135 and 85 I wanted before the increase
I guess I'll just buy used and not worry about it...

The ironic thing about that is best buy has had them in stock at US$2699 for a long time, and will likely keep the price where it is - I just stopped by there today
