REALLY good set here with fantastic variety! I'm sure they will love them, you did an awesome job capturing them . . . 15 is pretty darn blatant, hah.

Standouts: 5, 7, 13, 20, 22!

Jason.... very nice work here. I love 7, 8, 10 and 12. They are a beautiful couple, I'm sure they are both going to look great all done up for the wedding. Make sure you have your A game that day because I smell some good portfolio opportunities. #15 cracked me up... safe place. was that your idea, their idea?

Jason,

These look real good to me. They seem very much in love and you captured that emotion well.

I agree with everything above: really solid set! I loved #7... did you have to wait long to get the shot?

One point: with #16, try having the woman's nose to the front.

Really digging these. Nice shots of two people in love without being overpowered by flash technique, post processing or off the wall posing. I like how they include hints of place without the couple being lost in a landscape. The only image that made me laugh was the one of the dog, mainly because of the reaming that Sergio got on the people forum for his shot of the bum. These are images that I could imagine having in frames all over my house (if I was in them!) as well as at the in-laws.

Good job,

Simon

Wow...stand-out work! If this is your first paid e-shoot, I'm afraid for the rest of us, because your work is stellar and your lighting and processing are spot-on! Number 15 gives me pause. Could you share your lighting setup?! Very interested!

Again, VERY nice work! I bet they are thrilled with these!

This is really your first paid shoot? You cannot tell this is much better than some of the first esession posts that we get around here.

1. I really like the shadow photo, but I am a sucker for these.
3. Nice ring shot, focus is great and not overly sharpened whatsoever.
5. Concept has been used a lot but I like it and I think they will too.
7. This photo is awesome! What luck to have that bus be so patriotic and colorful, did you wait for it or luck into it?
10. I love the perspective from above however I feel the tilt is a tiny bit too tilted. The best advice I got about tilts is to avoid them running from one corner to the other, too drastic. I feel this one would have been a little better with less if you still have the original.
13. This photo is my favorite, the natural framing of the bridge combined with that delicious light, wow is all I can say!
15. I had to laugh at this one, I have a shot like this from an esession too lol gotta love with they are playful!
24. Love the leading lines, nice take on having the line in the background rather than the foreground which seems to be the current trend.

Bravo, cannot wait to see more!

Good stuff for your first one. I really like 7, 13, 15 and 16. Just a few tips for the future. 2 doesn't work in my opinion. You have this funky green cross processing effect that's clearly not along the line with the rest of your set, but when I see it, it just looks like a picture of a dog. I get the idea you were trying to go for, but next time, try to either to not include so much of the foreground subject (the dog in this case), or try to take it when there's more of the oof subject you are trying to depict (take the shot when the couple are closer in this case). Right now, the focus immediately goes to the dog, so to me it's a picture of a dog unless I look closer. Also, be aware of your background and what's going on. I run into this problem often as well, so it may help to take a shot, check it right then, and then re-take to get rid of problems from the background. The example I'm talking about is 20. Looks like there is another e-session going on directly behind your couple.

Other than those minor things, I think you did great for your first session. It seems like you def. did your research, and have learned a bit before attempting, so it's good to know that you are prepared, and willing to learn. Keep up the good work.

Thanks Victor! I hope you're right!

Richard; I pointed out the sign, and he instantly dragged
her over and did it. Pretty hilarious.

Thanks Dannyrod and Kim

BK, I love 7 also, I'm gonna go over it again.

Very good job. #20 even has another photographer in it!
Yes. There was a team of 3 shooting a e-sesh. Over the course of the day
I saw at least 5 other e-sessions going down in DC.

I loved #7... did you have to wait long to get the shot?
Actually...yea. I did. It was in front of union station in DC, and I have about 20 shots with white buses of different varieties. We waited quite a while for that red bus, every time it looked like one was coming, it would go another direction! AHH!!! Pretty frustrating. When it finally was coming, I had my second shooter (thanks logan!) block off the side walk to make sure no one walked in front of me right then.

The only image that made me laugh was the one of the dog, mainly because of the reaming that Sergio got on the people forum for his shot of the bum.

Yea, I actually was thinking about that thread while processing that image Whatever.

Could you share your lighting setup?! Very interested!

The only shots with off camera lighting are #'s 11, 12, 14, 17, 18, 22. Combination
of barebulb flash or flash + silver umbrella.

This is really your first paid shoot?
It's my first paid e-shoot. This is the first wedding I've booked myself and
will be shooting myself next month. Should be awesome.

Great session. Simple suggestion to always have the female in the front (nose) when shooting kissing shots.

Nice set!

I think 9, 13, 22, 24 are killer shots. 22 looks a little crooked to me and 17 would be so much nicer if her eyes were closed.
