Here is a series of my beagle Amy checking out what is inside the fridge.
This was done last year and was quite a challenge, in particular getting the dog's face in focus. I did 3 sessions and I think these photos are from the last session. Each got better, in particular I learned to keep my hand with the remote trigger out of the frame javascript:void(0);
I want to get some time to try this again. I'm thinking to try a wider angle, but these are at 10mm on a 50D. Now I have a 5DII and 17-40mm. The f-stop was f7.1, maybe I should have used F11 or F16. The ISO was 800.
The flash was a 580exII mounted on the camera.
They are fun photos but I want to get the quality up. What would you suggest? I have 2 flash and cyber syncs. I have a small umbrella. Also have a lumiquest softbox. Can't get it all into the fridge - especially the umbrella javascript:void(0);
What about simulating the fridge? Maybe take one of the shelfs out and some food and make it look like you are shooting from inside the fridge. Then you would have more room for your equipment. The ony thing missing would be the partial view of the door that is in your photos.
