Alan,
Gavin's use of the expression "over-cooked" usually applies to my thinking on such processing (but you know that). I'll try to apply the term when it's part of my reaction. But it's only my $.02 worth, and we both know that.
Re this photograph- it's a little over-cooked for my taste, but I like it anyhow.
Catchy title, too.
Charlie
I am a huge fan of your processing and love the graphic look of the image. The silhouette of the tree and the dramatic sky certainly make the shot for me. Being from the younger generation (not calling anyone else here old ) but I am pretty liberal when it comes to most types of processing I believe. But regardless of processing, the comp here is top notch and the framing is very well done (which are timeless techniques)
Great comp I really like this, I like the feeling of a darker weighed right hand side with the intense sky and overall darker feeling. Great conversion and processing. Very nicely done
Ah, yes, Alan.
Sometimes over-cooking diminishes the flavor.
I prefer the second version- especially the changes in the sky. It is now (dare an old fart use the term?) awesome!
