p.1 #1 · Seven Deadly Sins(Dance show)

Over the weekend my girlfriend and her partner had a performance. They own a dance company out of philadelphia and I took photos for them. I took 800+ photos lol, but I am only going to post 8. Some shots where during the show some during the rehersal/tech. No flash was used. Give me some pointers!!

Equipment used:
30d
50 f1.8
50-150 f2.8
19-35 f4

1. I wish i didn't chop things off but I still dig it.

2. I have two perspectives of this shot. It was a spotlight so the legs on top are almost gone.

3. Different perspective.(During show first is from dress/tech)

4.

5.

6.

7.

Impressive work for no flash. What ISO were you using?

6, then 3 is my favorite. For me the rest are a bit soft. On 6 I would reduce the orange cast a bit.

1,2,4 all have chopped parts or very tight to the frame.

5 would be good with less black area below and more negative space on right if it were not so soft.

I think crank up the iso, sharp pictures with grain are better than blurred pictures without grain for me.

6,2,3 my fav and very, very nice and then 4 (although 2 does have a the necessary few inches of free space on the left which stops it from being perfect)

first one has very awkward chopping off of limbs, but would be great otherwise
