Nourishing her dreams to own a little more time.

Like a magic mirror when we can see our future.

So frail, and only accentuated more by the cast on her leg.
Nice one.

When you take photos like this, do you ask the person if you can photograph them, ask them afterwards, or just not say anything? I always struggle taking shots like these because I don't want to offend anyone even though I'm drawn to this type of style for people photography.

Thanks.

Nice one.

You do have good eyes noticing the brace on her leg.
She is very frail indeed

Lazlo

A very touching and very moving image makes me wonder if she is by yourself, has her husband passed does she have family that is nearby. For me a very strong emotional image. In which I like very much.

Andrew, I ask permission only if there is no other way to take the picture, since I am trying to shoot candids.
Once they notice you the "magic of the moment" is gone.
BTW, I mainly use a 80-400 mm lens for this type of pictures.

Wow. You attempted a strong statement here Lazlo, and pulled it off perfectly. I really like the off-center comp, the conversion and all that - but the subject matter is what counts and you treated it with clear-eyed honestly and yet with a full heart as well. Superb.

BTW, I like the perfect lipstick. It says so much about her.

Peace,

Todd

I always joke about "circling the drain", bit it isn't sarcasm, just a bit of irony. Quite a humbling image. As always, "evocative."
