I think I like this image better for the tree than the one you have posted in landscape because the tree is further in. But the landscape one has a better pose of the building.
I think I prefer the one posted in landscape overall.
Scott: Thanks for the comment and the comparison. I took about 10 shots of this scene. Will review what I posted and others, and maybe come up with another try.
I actually visited Mt. Palomar for the Pringle Manzanita, and this view caught my eye. Things fell into place. But I had something like 20 minutes to go before the employee locked the gate to the parking lot, at 4:45pm. I even managed to set up my tripod, somehow, working against the clock.
