p.1 #1 · Photography in a lighting tent

Hi, I just got a phoptography tent, 70x70cm one. It's my first time that I've take any photos with this setup (2 strobe 200w lights).

I was wondering if anyone's familiar with this. here's my first photo with my 5d mrk2. Seems to be ok, just would like some input. Thanks.

The lighting is even. The tent is doing its job. Do you see any surface texture on the most exposed white candies? If not, the image may be a little overexposed. I also see a few artifacts that may be sensor lint.

All good comments, I'm shooting this without a light meter my current one broke and the new one's coming in the mail. It's very possible that it's a bit over exposed due to that. And I'm sooo glad you pointed out the lint, I realy thought I could get by without ironing it, but I guess not... it was bugging me too!

It looks overexposed to me but I am not sure why you need a exposure meter. The histogram should do everything you need.

Tell me what is the difference between a lightbox and a tent. Are they the same concept with different shape.

Thanks for sharing. Scott

Agree with above and overexposure. Not keen on the composition.

I may be wrong, but when he says lint I think he might mean sensor dust. If that's what he means, don't try ironing your sensor. I did and the iron didn't fit.

I am seeing the magenta tint - faulty WB or my eyes

I agree with the slight overexposure. But interestingly to me, if you shot this without the light meter, with all the white in the scene I would have thought that it would have fooled your in camera meter to underexpose.

I guess that is academic.

I also see the magenta tint. But overall looks good to me.
