I have not yet had time to apply the great suggestions that i received earlier but just wanted to share a few captures of what i have been able to do.

Hey Jim, looks like you are getting your focus sharp and freezing action nicely! If these geeser were flying the other direction into the sun it would have given you much more detail on the body and under the wings As it stands you could increase the exposure on these in processing and bring up a bit more detail yet probably start to pick up some noise in the shadows. I think you have made some nice improvements! Congrats and keep at it!

2nd exposure looks better than the 1st. Nice captures. Shoot manual.

Thanks for looking guys.I agree exposure could have been increased but i hate seeing the noise in the wings.It seems that noise in the wings is hard to control even when exposure is on.
