As a new user of two 580 EX II I would not be where i am if i had not came across you web pages with all this great info.
Yesterday you answere my post (sync two 580).
What i was looking for was a way to use one radiopopper receiver for two flash.
Looks like that is not an option thanks for help.
Here is what i was able to do with canon's system.
The foreground is well exposed in the technical sense but the dark shadows on the side of the face make the lighting look very harsh. More fill from the direction of the camera would give it a bit softer, but still masculine look. That's the advantage of using neutral fill you don't get until you try it: you can literally dial in the softness of the foreground lighting by varying the fill / lighting ratio.
Realize its just a test shot but compositionally in a shot like that if you put the figure directly in front of the car or slightly touching the left side the two centers of interest will be better unified and will not make the eye ping-pong between them.
BTW - If you have a private message directed for me PM or e-mail is a better way to send it
I do not mind the photo at all, if I had any real complaint it would be the color difference between the flash and natural light - gelling the flash could easily eliminate this.
