I don't have an A630B, but I've got a D600 and there aren't a whole lot of stands I'd trust it to.
I'd try an Avenger D520 first and see if that gives you enough room to work with. The D600, or any dedicated boom for that matter, is better used in a permanent studio setup. From the looks of it (buying a Ranger and wanting to use Litepanels), mobility seems rather important to you. You can also "stack" D520's if you want some crazy positioning or extra reach, kinda like LEGO.
The 630 is a little light for a boom and a 53" Octa depending on how high and how far you are going to extend it. I have 630's , C-stands, and a D600, and I would only put the D600 on a C-stand. You might try just a 40" arm and grip for extending your Octa a little or a lighter boom like a Bogen or Alien Bees. Or, you really need a heavier stand.
Thanks for the response guys. The D520 seems like it could work, but I'd like to be dead set since shipping to Hawaii ends up costing an arm and a leg (in some cases like 40% of the total order ).
If I got the D520, what else would I need to mount it on a normal light stand? I have a D200 which came with my Lastolite Skylite (apologies for calling it a LitePanel in previous post).
It's worth a shot, I haven't seen anything in their fineprint about not liking Hawaii or Alaska. Try asking Henryp on here, he might know. Or post a comment on Scott Kelby's blog.
