Alas, both were used, but I'm keeping the wheels of commerce turning.

[These are both very fine lenses too.]

A house/apartment, so it's going to be a quiet on the new lens front probably, but you never know. Can't think of anything I'd really need either, unless there will be 50L II, but that's wishful thinking.

Nothing as expensive as others...
1. 580EX II
2. Sigma 30mm f/1.4. Unless someone can suggest an alternative. Need a fast normal lens for my Rebel.
3. Maybe a Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, fast zoom for a walkaround to replace my 18-55mm IS kit lens.
4. Sigma 150mm f/2.8 macro.

New i7, DDR3, fancy graphics card computer coming soon. That'll put the kibosh on any new gear purchases for a while. Toying with the idea of going fullframe (used 5D) later in the year which will mean selling pretty much everything and starting from scratch.

Computer will need a update to i7 with DD3 and loads of disk space to handle both stills and video.

Splashed on a 5D2, that's my kit budget for 2009 totally blown.

In 2010/11 I will probably have a look at the 24L Mk2, by then all the reviewers will have got a good idea how much better than my Mk1 it is!

That looks like a wholesome list, Jess.

Especially the first two lenses offer lottsa bang for a buck.

I have no plans for any gear buying this year. The Canadian $ dropping some 25% wrt US $ has much to do with it too.

However, I am still on a lookout for a good deal on the backup 200 f/1.8 and perhaps 50 f/1.0. Not in a hurry though. If our $ rebounds those purchases should become a bit easier to justify.
