is there template design software for us PS noobs ? I can't and don't have time to learn how to build page layouts from scratch in PS - do they (WHCC) have the easy-bake oven software options? (BROWNIES..... 5 MINUTES - DING !)
I recommend Lumapix Fotosusion for layout design. I have entered layout parameters (margins and gaps) for different vendors I use. All I have to do is to create a page and drop images on it.
Thanks for posting the pics of the WHCC books... I know this is old, but very helpful. Did some family portraits and in addition to big canvas prints etc. they want to give books as gifts to family... These photos made my decision of which vendor to use very easy.

Metallic Photo Cover sounds very nice to have as an option, now is that the actual hard cover or just a dust jacket?
Beware of the Metallic Photo Cover. You will get finger prints on it all day long. I like the cover a lot but the finger print issue is like any other glossy print.

Not for these books. The photo is under protective plastic.
I've been using their books from the beginning and their quality is second to none. I've used a version with the laminated hinged pages for a fine art coffee table book I've been selling and the look is just outrageous. We sell them to our high school senior clients, as well.
Love WHCC. Only issue with the books are that you need to do one page layout per side. I prefer when you can upload a double page spread and then the center is cut where the page cut is. No bleed or crop so it all will match from one side to the other.

Well, in FF you can design in double page spreads and then, when you ready, render separate images for each side. When I upload to WHCC, I select all pages and just drag them onto page layout in WHCC Roes. It will add all of them sequentially. Super easy.
