Wow, sweet deal Andreas!
We are all envious.
It would be interesting to see some comparison shots between this lens and the Nikon 14-24G.
How is the distortion with this lens? It looks better than the 18ZF.
Look forward to seeing some of your shots with it.

I have just picked it up. 30 minutes ago. It is really a sweet thing. Smooth controls and a front element to drown in :-)

I have been keeping my eye out for this lens but I didn't think it was a fisheye - Maybe that is why I haven't found one

It is not a fisheye. It was misslabeled in the auction... The seller had bought a larger oly collection. Sold most of it locally but put this for sale. I think he got tricked by the front element...

The 16 is a fish. The 18 is not.

I've bought one recently too. Here are a couple of shots with my 40D.

This image is copyrighted by the owner

It doesn't have the ultra wide effect on a crop sensor. I waiting for my 5D MkII (arrives next week) and I'm expecting to make some serious tests then.

Nice ones!

My first test confirms what I have heard of the lens.
Sharp all over at 5.6-8. Vignetting is heavy at f/3.5 (I love vignetting so it is a non issue for me...)
It is pretty much gone at f/8. I have to shoot a white wall to confirm though.

Don´t get hopes up! Great gear doesn´t produce great photos. I am not an experienced wide angel shooter. I love the perspective though. The 21 was just a bit to tight. The 18 is perfect in my eyes.

I'm going to pick the lens up today and see how it is. I was undecided before but I've just received a HappyPage adapter for using a Contax 35-70 3.4 on my Canon and the different between the Contax and the 24-105 I was previously using is stunning.

The Canon lens was (to put it bluntly) crap... horrendous around the edges and flat in the centre but the Contax is so vibrant and sharp across the frame.
