p.1 #1 · Memory question (stupid but...)

Hi,
i would like to ask about available memory for photoshop (CS3)
i was able finally manage to get one and currently having XP, was thinking about some upgrade. I was trying to avoid vista because of negative reviews, but would love to have more memory available for photoshop.
Currently i have: Intel celeron 1,6 Ghz with 2 GB RAM and Windows XP.
I can get Vista SP1 64bit or Windows XP 64bit and another 2 GB RAM for about 200Eur .

Now question, how much memory I will have available for photoshop and in Windows (NX2 and Photosop at the same time running) in XP 32bit, XP 64bit, Vista 64bit?

At this moment i am using all memory most of the time and need to clear image cache really often.

All Windows will allow you to use up to 4Gb of RAM. If you use a 64-bit Windows, you can access twice that much.

If you buy CS4 and run it on a 64-bit version of Windows you will get even more benefit since CS4 has native 64-bit programs.
