The thread by conscience224 or 225 or whatever his/her handle is got me thinking about how I can approach my wedding photography in a whole new light. My goal is to be so unique that I will define a whole new style of work. People will imitate me for years but you, dear readers, have a glorious opportunity to be the first to witness my ground breaking, cutting edge work.
Behold and prepare to heap praise upon me.
Bridal portrait. I wanted to get back to the roots, the basic, raw bride in all her pre-makeup-pre-hair-do beauty. I think I succeeded very well here.
However if the bride insists on a picture of herself all dolled up, she'll get my special "water colored to the extreme" treatment. It's all about the brush strokes people.
I also hear that some guy named "Dave Hill" has been copying my style. Imma gonna call a lawyer!1
The groom and bride e-session. No longer am I calling this the "bride and groom e-session". The male now becomes the dominate figure. Brides are a thing of the past, relegated to the background. Oh, and I also don't do same race couples anymore. Too 20th century.
Big prints. I mean, really BIG prints. Ok, sometimes I do have to shoot a "normal picture" just to satisfy the heathens but when I do, I want the pics to take on a life of their own.
Tools of the trade. These pics are just as important as the ceremony or reception pics. I mean, without them, there would be no pics right? So to take it a step farther, I offer pics of pics of tools of the trade. I know you're blown away by this concept and it may take a while to sink in but stare at the pic long enough and you'll reach nirvana. Promise.
Speaking of tools, this is my minimum equipment package. Every shooter needs to be prepared. If you can't hump the load, find another profession.
Receptions. I hate them so when I have to shoot them, I want to be totally different. Besides, most people are ugly anyway.
The groom and bride leaving the wedding. The ride is more important than the people. This is my new rule. No more ugly people in limos.
Finally, kittys. Kittys are cuter than people. My new rule is that there must be a kitty at every wedding.

hahahaha
for clarifcation... I am by no means claiming to have invented the rig shot.... just perfected it... hahahaha
Nice work Richard! However it takes a true artist like myself to bring a rig to a wedding shoot!
hahaha, believe it or not, some of my car photography friends actually suggested that I do a rig shot of every limo, for every wedding booking.... they were being totally serious.
