p.1 #1 · Can't get Google analytics on my website (bludomain)
I set up a google analytics account so I could start guaging who's visiting my site and when. I pasted the link into the proper place on my splash page. And it's not working. Anyone else have bludomain and knows how to fix it? I asked them at blu and they told me to post to the blog. Now I can't find a way to post a question to the blog.

Review the code Google gave you very carefully. Did you place it where it told you to? I believe, but am not certian, that it goes anywhere in the <body> </body> tags. Make sure the number that Google gave you is correct as well.

Thanks - I tried a few things. I first pasted it where bludomain said to place any tracking code. Then I tried placing it in the body. I will try that again.

I have the code working, and I put it where blu said to. I only works with the splash page and NOT the flash pages within your site. The best you can really hope for at the moment is hit counts.

Works for me though I'm not with bludomain but godaddy, in the <body> </body> section. Have you copied the entire Google code? On my site it reads like this:

One of the problems I'm having is with the admin panel - - it looks different than the example panel that blu shows, so the help page is pretty pointless. I posted the code in "Visitor Tracking Code" -- is that correct?
I've also tried posting in the short area about the business - that's the only "body" section I can find.
Is there a place to paste it on my cPanel? Or do I need to go into the HTML? I feel so computer illiterate right now...

Post it in the "edit statistics tracking code" or whatever it may be called for your particular admin panel. You can add as many tracking scripts you like there. Statcounter, Google, etc.
Remove it from your splash page. It's very picky.
Google does read flash sites now, but how successfully and to what extent is debatable.

Google reads my flash site or at least the code.
I'm so not a tech geek, but I put the code in the splash page and the homepage. Works fine.

Thanks, y'all! I had to add it to two places, but I think it should be working - -at least I finally saw it in the source code and google analytics recognizes it's there. I assume I'll see results in a few days, though.

The add stats tracking function on my bludomain site (lucille) unfortunately doesn't work. It just doesn't get added to the pages. I solved this myself by exiting the index file and manually adding my stats code in the body.
Let me know if yours still has issues and I'll try and give you a hand.
