I just want to thank everyone for their stellar contributions to this thread. There are too many great shots in here to call out individually, but I think that collectively these images make a strong case that when used in measure, a more gestural look can be very powerful in conveying motion, emotion, or both!
Completely missed focus (not so evident on this downsampled image, but the rice in the foreground reveal it) and I still think it's one of my best shots of the season. Dynamic, emotional...maybe it's just me.
