Great design! If purple's what you want, then go with purple! If it were me, I'd choose some other pastel color . . . green or orange . . . but again, it's your card!
If I saw the card without seeing you, I'd be 100% sure that the photographer was female though. I'd change the color, just for identification purposes. Otherwise it might look like you work for someone else, who's card you're giving out.
Probably one of the best designs of new card I've seen on FM. I wouldn't call it a girly color....you're right on....it's a 'wedding' color. Like the simple EI and the font used for the name on front of card. Nice work.
Thanks guys! I originally had this as a black card...but didnt' think it would stand out. I wanted a card that would be noticable if placed in a fishbowl with a bunch of other business cards (many local business have fishbowls you can drop your card in for free junk).
I've seen tons of white cards and tons of black cards...but very, very few purple ones.
I'll play around with a few different colors before sending these to the printer.
I'll echo what was said above about the color. I would like to say that I love your logo. Took me a couple looks to realize it was the initials of your company as well!

Your card should be an extention of your brand. What are the rest of your colors and design in your marketing campaign? All of these elements must be consistent to help build branding and identification. Your entire packaging, design, boxes, etc, should all carry a similar theme as well. If they don't have the elements you've used in this card, I would reconsider either the card or everything else.

Wow! I didn't even think of that! I was just thinking about having a "different" looking Business Card. Yeah...makes a heck of a lot of sense! My primary site colors, packaging colors, and marketting colors should all be similar to build on the same "brand".
What FANTASTIC advice! Thanks so much!! It's sooo simple...but it completely escaped me!
