You should definitely wait. Never buy a camera, because there will always be something better coming in a few years time. After all, if you bought a camera, you might have to take some time to take some photos...

The 5D Mark II has only just been released. It will not be replaced for quite a while - probably 2-3 years.

The smart thing to would be to get the 5D Mk II, but wait about ten years because the price will come down. It will still take great pictures.

Better autofocus, more FPS, dual card slots, full aperture control in video mode. Was thinking of getting the 5D2, but now I will wait for the 1D Mark 4. My 5D will work fine enough until then.
