1, 16, 17, and 20 are among my top favs - overall, this is an awesome set. The colors and lighting is beautiful. It seems like you guys spent all day together - I guess it's due to all the locations and change of clothes. Most of them seem like gorgeous natural light, but I'd be interested in knowing if you added any artificial light to any of these. If so, it was beautifully done.
Thanks man! No artificial flavors or light were added
#1 is beautiful, love the dof... #7 is very intimate, they will love this one! I love number 9, very creative. I am a sucker for shadow photos. 20 & 22 are exceptional... are those cowboy boots? I love the light on these. Let me ask you because I am too "safe" with my own images how did you meter number 22?

Thanks! Yes, they are cowboy boots. On image 22, I metered the couple.
Great work, like the comps, 12 and 17 in particular. I never come up with stuff like 17, wish I had the eye for it though. Clone the airplane out of 23, it's really irritating it detracts from a fun, playful image.
I don't know who "The Image is Found" is... so I can't compare you to them. But if you're TOO much like them in location and composition, maybe try to work at differing your angles or processing. To me, there's nothing worse than posting images and having someone say, "Hey, these look like __________'s".
I'm not a fan of low contrast black and white images.
i think it's annoying to, especially for the recipient. these images ROCK. plain and simple. but if he did get inspiration from someone else, well, as the biblical saying goes, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Some call it insperation others call it copying. You will always be behind if you spend your all your time being inspired by others. Mel and mathew are just trying to help.
mathew333, Tobin28...Before coming up with any assumption what my style is, perhaps you should take a look at my whole body of work and not base your conclusion on one or two posts. Your statements came off as very premature, unfair and presumptuous. Very ballsy for a couple of guys that do not have the balls to put their works on here for the rest of us to critique.
man i don't have no clue where these people come in and start dawgin...
Like always jason your stuff is the sh*t and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I on the other hand find your style unique, but i guess everyone is entitled for the .02...
Anyway too bad i couldnt shoot with you on the 3rd man..let me know for next time...

i was really tempted to say something in your defense last night, jason, but decided against it-i would second your suggestion that they need to go back to your last 10 image threads as well-your work is too good to be lumped in with other photogs IMHO

Even if you did take heavy inspiration from The Image is Found - they are excellent photographers and so are you. Some people don't have the skill to even remotely mimic excellent photographers, much less make their own style.
Moreover, the majority of us photographers take inspiration from others. There's nothing wrong with it - there are poses, lighting techniques, and compositions that keep getting recycled through here.
Anyway, having said all that - like I said earlier, this series is very strong and I'm sure the clients will be happy. The processing, composition, and lighting are all professionally executed and if anyone looks at your past work, they'll quickly realize you can easily stand alone.
Conrad, Daniel, Saad Syed, Sam and many others on here....your support is greatly appreciated. You guys really make FM worth hanging around. Take care!
Sorry if my comment came off as a cheap shot. The truth is I meant it as a compliment. I am a second shooter for a guy who recently attended the Shoot Shop and have asked Jasont about his experience before my friend went. Both had amazing things to report on their experience and I hope to attend one in the 2010 season.
Nate from Image is Found does and teaches some amazing things that everyone in wedding photography could benefit from. I am currently studying how his PP is done to achieve aspects of their look. Also the Image is Found has this great ability to capture people laughing and interacting in ways that blow my mind.
So nice work Jasont and sorry if my comment came off as rude. Didnt mean it that way.
