Hey, finally got my new site done. Let me know what you think, ANY feedback would be greatly appreciated. A lot of my friends and family like it, but they may be a bit biased : )
So if you could take a minute and browse through it and let me know what you like and don't like. Photographically and as far as the website itself. Thanks a bunch!
Good stuff Chris. I like the way you broke up the wedding photos. Makes a lot of sense.
There are probably some web gurus who will find some problems, but I did not have any difficulty
navigating the site.
As for the photos themselves, I really like the "getting ready" section. I think these are the strongest
photos on the site.
I think the main problem with the images in the portrait and family sections is that there are so many photos
of the same people. I assume these are just your more recent portrait shoots, but you may want to put more
photo subjects in these galleries.
Overall I really like the site, and the photos (especially the wedding photos). If I were looking for a wedding photographer I would hire you.
Really nice site design. You've got some great looking shots there too.
I saw a few things I'd change. When I look at your site in Safari (Mac) there is a problem on the section heading in the upper right - (elcome, amily, etc). Somehow the first letter is being dropped on my web browser.
Also - I'd change your email address from mac.com to one that uses your domain name - it will come across as more professional.
whew! Thank you very much for the advice and comments.
Dan & R : The "w" will be there in about 10 minutes, oops.
gonenorth : I do need a bit more variety in the portrait department. thank you for the kind words.
I thought about changing my email. I think I might do just that. It would sound more professional, I wonder if I could just make it a bit shorter somehow.
Thanks all, and keep em coming for anyone else out there.
Nice site. Two minor things -- first, I go to, say, the personal photos page and for some reason the first photo never shows up. Just black. I have to go click the thumbnail then all works as planned. Second, what's the the word "unknown" in the middle of your bio? Doesn't seem to fit.
I like the layout and navigation with the only exception being the white text on the yellow BG - I didn't see that at first and find it quite hard to pick out.
However, it's all about the pictures which are excellent.
Your site locked up firefox on me. It said that Adobe flash 10 was having trouble with a script on your site and if I tried to continue it could make my computer unstable. I'm not freaked out or anything...just wanted to let you know.
Works fine for me with Firefox (v3.0.5) on a MacBook Pro (MacOs X 10.5.6), no warnings no nothing. The only nitpick is that when seeing the first thumbnails to pick a sub-category (Engagement photos, Getting Ready and so on) I think the thumbnails are a bit too dark (I understand that they brighten on mouseover). Otherwise very nice site and great pics, could use more diversity in the Portraits section.
all I get is a black page. Anyone else having this problem?
If it happens once, it's bound to be happening to potential customers?
What could be the problem?
I'm on a PC with Internet Explorer, if that's an issue.

I'm on PC with IE7 and I can see the site just fine. Maybe you need to update your Flash plugin?
Overall nice site, the music wasn't playing, tho. It also seemed kinda wierd when I held my mouse over the slideshow the pictures just kept on rolling by under the mouse so it was hard to see and click on each one so that was kinda glitchy. One other thing, do you do any retouching? Everyone looks better retouched. And one thing I always keep in mind that a photographer teacher taught me a long time ago is to only show your strongest images. It is always better to show only 15 amazing images than to add another 20+ average ones to make it look you have a volume of work. From other peoples perspective you are only as good as your worst image! Unfortunate but true. Less is more. You do have some really beautiful images, keep up the nice work.
Good site. The first shot in the portrait section where her hand with scissors cover her mouth is pretty bad, i'd toss it but really like the site otherwise.
