p.1 #1 · Not so balmy Downeast Maine

I'm very new to this site and have enjoyed very much the quality of the photographs displayed here. I've been inspired to try my hand at landscapes a bit more and took this one today in Robbinston, Maine. Thanks for looking. C&C is always welcome.

God Bless,
Brad

Hi Brad,

Nice composition, glad that you saw the shot. I'm no expert, but the blacks seem a little too crushed for my taste. Thanks for sharing that one!

Peace,
Jimmy G

Nice shot
I love the way the light hits the small rock in the center of the shot.
I think I'd like it more if the fog was smoother or the opposite, right now it looks...I don't know, moved ?

Thanks for the suggestions. I too would like the rocks a little brighter to see some more details. I have other similar exposures that might yield that result. I'll have to check. As for the fog, it isn't fog actually. I used a long exposure so the small waves would become "dreamy" and fog like. The dark areas in the fog are actually some seaweed beds that were floating on the surface. You can kind of see the motion blur if you look at those areas particularly.

Thanks for looking and for commenting..
BRAD

I like the ethereal-ness of this. Very cool!
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I love the soft mood, and the water action is excellent.
I think of the witches of MacBeth
