So I finally downloaded ExposurePlot to get a better idea of how I use my gear.
Camera:
CANON 350D
Lenses I use:
tokina 12-24
50 1.8 II
70-200 F4L
Findings:
1. I tend to use my zooms at their extremes- anyone else find this to be the same?
2. I hardly ever use 1600 ISO as I find it too noisy
3. I do approximately 80% of my shooting below 85mm
4. Most of my shots at 200mm are short, as in I would need something longer to get what I was looking for
5. I don't use the 50 1.8 that often due to focus inaccuracy - the 350d can't lock on in lower light environments
Solutions?
1. sell the 70-200
2. get a fast, wider prime- perhaps the 30 1.4, perhaps a 85 1.8?
3. Swap the 350D for a 40d for better AF accuracy/Higher ISO noise performance? I'm tired of looking into the tiny viewfinder where I can't tell focus(I've recently been spoiled by looking through a sony a900 viewfinder)
