A short series of trees taken tonight. I purposefully set out to take these trees as ghostly and half-seen, but nevertheless present. A kind of partial absence that remains haunting. These were not processed like this in Photoshop. Instead, they are actual motion blur shots, taken with my D300 and a Nikkor 105mm f/2.5 A-IS at high ISO, slow shutter speed, and usually f/2.5, although that varied a bit. I don't do much abstract work, and did not go out today thinking I would do abstract work, but once I found myself in the situation, I realized that such an approach would best capture what I wanted for these trees.
All really beautiful ,but #1 and #5 are my favs. Really nice work that would look great in a gallery as a series. Can't assign any tech critiques to these, because they are abstract in nature, but you captured a mood and expression that are brilliant.
Did you shoot RAW?
