I'm more of a lurker here and a buyer in the B&S forum, but I thought I would share a photo from my backyard. This is a two shot HDR edited in LAB color mode.
I think this in an interesting shot that almost makes it for me. The blown sky is distracting and the top of the tree on the left is too dark. I hope you keep posting. I think you have the eye!
A couple of suggestions for you. The right side of the shot feels cut off with how that tree is on the right. Not much you can do now, but something to keep in mind in the future is how well the elements like that tree fit in. As to the blown out area, one thing I would do is desaturate that blue sky. It really doesn't fit with the desaturated feel of the rest of the shot.
I agree with Jim about the tree on the right, but gosh, I'd really hesitate about desaturating the blue sky, especially if it means toning down that iridescence. Iridescent clouds are a pretty special atmospheric phenomena to photograph. The one in this photo is subtle, but it would be a tragedy to desaturate it out of the picture.
