What's up fellow FM'ers? So it's been quite a while since I've posted anything new. I've been busy with school and work.... and the cold weather has kept me at bay as well. But I'm on break, had a week off of work, and the weather was surprisingly nice for December around here. So I tried to shoot as much as possible in the little time I had free. Anyways, just wanted to share some of the shots with you all and get your feedback. Just trying out some new things in a lot of the shots.
I love your light and composition!
How did you get the hairlight at #2 of the AUDRA HILL SHOOT?
I'm not too found on the make up that is used in the first serie. Doesn't match the mood in colour mode. And for B&W it hasn't enough power. Just MHO of course ..
Thanks everyone. Yeah, I'm leaning towards the B&W versions as well. Makes them look a little more cinematic in a way. Appreciate all the input so far.

I just used an AB800 with a 30 degree grid spot attached and had it placed right below her head and angled up. Then I used an AB800 with a softbox for the front key light.

Said it before, I'll say it again. #6 rocks. I also love the gaze in #4 of the Audra shoot. And #4 is my favorite Justin shot. Great stuff Jason.
Thanks Chris! That means a lot man.

nice pics but im not a big fan of the flare, some instances its overpowering. A little gobo goes a long way
Yeah, the flare is not for everyone I agree. I actually did shoot a lot of these same shots with grids to keep the light in check, but I ended up liking the flared ones much more. Again, it's just my personal taste. Maybe I'll post some of the non-flared ones later. Thanks for commenting. Appreciate it.
1 is really special, I quite like it. Hand looks a little out of place in 2. Nice expressions on 3 and 4. Lovely smile on 5, but it seems a little...out of place - compared to the others. Wrinkles in the bkg are a little distracting, also in 2. Love the perspective in 6, kind of wish she were centered in the middle of the dress.
I don't like the BWs for this set nearly as much as the color versions.
Enjoyed all the Audra shots, nice feel to them. Did you use on cam fill for the first two?
That first shot of Justin is really cool, but he doesn't contrast with the bkg as much as Audra. No fill flash?

The first two shots with Audra were shot with a two light setup (just key and rim light). The 3rd & 4th were shot using natural light only.
Same with Justin, a lot of those were shot using natural light only, hence the low contrast. Also, he is a musician and wanted that vintage low contrast look to the photos. So they are purposefully shot that way, with overexposure and a little more flat lighting.
