Maybe I'm a bit slow today, but how does everyone read this:

"The size of the photographic image must be no smaller than 8 inches (20 cm) on the longest edge."

The smallest the image can be is 8" either way...or if you had a horizontal image the width cannot be smaller then 8"..i.e. 8 x 4

i believe that's a mistake... the number "8" should be the smallest number with the 16x20 print comp. if i'm wrong, then there could be images with the dimensions of 8x1 inches which wouldn't make sense.

Agree 8" is the smallest dimension either way.
