p.1 #1 · Going As A 2nd Shooter.

My friend's brother offered me to let me be a second shooter this comming saturday, and I'm wondering what should I do to prepare myself. I'm concerned about the poses and gear. Just any advice will help me.

My current gear:
Nikon D80
18-200
50 1.8
60 2.8 Micro
80-200 2.8
Sb-800 x2

Things I might/will take along:

Reflectors
2 small softboxes, and two lightstands.

As a second shooter... all you need is:

D80
either 50mm or the 80-200mm lens
sb-800

You won't need anything else, the main shooter should have everything else covered. Just enjoy it... 1st time I went I used mainly the 80-200mm on my D80. ISO sucks for indoor, but outdoor was a blast. I went and upgraded to the D300 quick after that.

I would take it all with you, but leave some of it in your car. You never know what you'll be facing, so best to be prepared.

i don't see any canon gear

+1 on david's comment-take it all-if a flash breaks, you've got another one, etc.-if not, no harm

Why not bring everything, then you'll be prepared. While you wont be the primary who is calling all the shots, you ARE trying to get the best possible shots you can I assume for your portfolio as well. I would be prepared for anything...
