2nd of all...this was my last wedding for 2008. I was the primary and i had Catie whom I met at the Bay Area Pow Wow 2nd shoot for me.
This was my first pretty good paying gig so I was pretty excited. When I first met Elizabeth, she spoke how she wanted a 1920s Hollywood style to her wedding and how she wanted belly dancers, flamingo guitarist, sparklers and peacock feathers. It sounded really cool and actually lived up to and surpassed all expectations.
Outstanding work!
My favorites: 7 (color and composition) and 24 (love this image…all of it)
I would remove #8 and 31… I don’t find these two to be very flattering to the bride. She even looks like a totally different person.
My $0.02.
Wow dude. Pow Wow all over the place here. Very well done overall. Clean images, good comp, and great emotions. I love 12, 17, 27, and 28. I like WA shots, but the distortion on 3 (left side) is kind of ruining the shot I think. I also think her face could be touched up a bit on 8. Other than that, solid set dude.
These are all beautiful but #17 does it for me. She is forever captured in time by that photo, family heirloom for sure The peacock ring shot is awesome too!
Just got this email from the bride I thought I'd share:
"WOW!!!! This is beyond my wildest expectations Rob. Those photos are so unbelievably beautiful I can't even believe them. Thank you so much for being so incredible and giving us such amazing memories of the evening that we can keep forever. You were a joy to work with and I can't wait to recommend you to anyone who will listen :-)"
Emails like this is what makes our job so amazing. really really amazing.
Thanks Limon, I didn't even notice the distortion. sadly, the 17-35 2.8 is a distortion nightmare at the edges @ 17mm. Ardent, I dig 17's conversion the best out of all the other conversions.
