I know on this board there are a lot of users of light meters and i need a bit of advice.
I have just got a set of studio lights and want to get a meter to use with them. I also use a Hasselblad kit and also have a 5x4 kit that i take out on occasions. I currently use an old Minolta Spot meter that once suffered some water damage but works fairly well. I want to get a newer more versatile modern meter to go with it.
So far i have narrowed my choices down to the Sekonic L358, Kenko KFM-2100 and also the Gossen Digipro F. I have used the sekonic once before and liked the way it functioned, i have not used the other two. They are all roughly the same price so that isn't an issue.
The main use i stated above, can anyone who has experience with these meters comment on their efficiency and their reliability and just generally give me some advice on what route to go down?
I use the 358 and whole heartedly recommend it. Easy to use, accurate, dead reliable and battery lasts forever. Nice and inexpensive used as well. Will also take the Pocket Wizard trigger internally if you ever need to trigger some strobes or a remote camera.
