This is my first posting on this board. Normally I'm in the Nikon Forum.
Yesterday I got the Nikon ringflash R1 and this is one of my first attempts (that looked good to me ).

Nice capture. You might want to both do some sharpening in post beyond this as well as darken the darkest tones a bit more. That will help pull up the contrast in the pollen grains.

Way to retain detail and have a crisp image. Those are often people's biggest impediments.

It's ok Chris, noone's perfect.

The composition looks great. I really like the curving line.

I think your aperture number is too high at f/32. I think that's what causing the slight softness mentioned by Jim, from diffraction as well as higher ISO which would give more noise that you then have to remove along with any high freq. details. Why don't you try halving the aperture number to say, f/16, or maybe even lower to f/11.
