p.1 #2 · Wireless Transmitters... | |
Nick,
Monolights come with slaves built in. So if you connect your camera to 1 light using a sync cord, you can simply turn the slave on the other lights and they will fire with the first when it goes off. If you want to eliminate the cord entirely, then use a wireless remote system; transmitter on camera, receiver on one light, and slave the rest. If you want to be able to wirelessly trigger each light individually and bypass the built in slaves (say to avoid other P&S cameras from triggering your lights at a wedding) then you can certainly put a wireless receiver on each light. But if you are just setting up a home studio, start with the PC cord/slave first and do a little more research on the best wireless solution for you. There are plenty good ones and your specific needs might not be that clear until you've used the lights for awhile.
Good luck.
