I just posted this in the Nikon forum also. The adapter sent me, a black one, would not mount on my D300 body. It would however mount on my FTN body, extension tubes and tel-converter. I could not get the adapter to turn. I measured its depth, and its a bit more shallow than any of my Nikon lenses, and mentioned tubes, converter. I returned it for a refund. There ad said a brass adapter/chrome plated. They stated they had run out, and will change the ad. Anyone have an M42/Nikon adapter, that will work on your D300 body? I would perfer a U.S. supplier-as i do not have PayPal. Thanks in advance.
