p.1 #1 · Are Bron and Profoto umbrellapoles compatible

Hi

Just switched brand to Bron (Verso/PulsoG2). Will not arrive for a couple of days but need to start working on getting new accessories asap.

Got som new Profoto umbrellas, will they fit Bron? (Pulso, Unilite, Picolite.) OR do they use different polediameter?

Regards Ulf

Ulf,

I can't tell you about the unilite or picolites, however your Pulso G2 is not made to accept an umbrella at all.

Best,

Ray

The document for the Pulso G heads say that it has an umbrella holder. It also looks like it on the side in the picture, though hard to see.

www.bron.ch

"Safer protecting glass holder thanks to mechanical lock. Integrated
tilting head with locking lever. Umbrella holder. Light angle may be adjusted by a rotary knob fitted at side. Focusing possible within 26 mm range

I am travelling so cannot check the size. But, umbrellas cost next to nothing compared to **anything** else in the Bron/Profoto line.

Congrats on the Verso! Did you get a battery for it too? I should have purchased one when Calumet was blowing then out on eBay. Is that where you bought?

I have the Bron Mobil and Visatec Litepac, but a Verso would be cool!

Best,
Michael

Yes I know that the switch will COST.

But I got som new Profoto umbrellas that I like and would like to use on Bron.

(Even if umbrellas are fairly inexpensive) 3 new ones are a some hundred dolllars.

None that know if my Profotoumbrellas will fit?

and yes it was Calumet that made me switch.

Ulf,

I looked at my heads again. The pulso does have an umbrella holder on the left side of the mount, under the head. I completely forgot about that as it is not in the spot like ProFotos, and I haven't used an umbrella for quite awhile.

Sorry for the confusion.

Best,

Ray
