I really like this!! My only dislike is the lighting on the center image face. The nose is very bright and really stands out. It doesn't seem to fit with the other 4 images.
I had the same thought after a few hours without looking at it, then looking at it again... I might change this center shot for a different one. Update soon...
Redo it with the expression from the first image and the exposure from the second image and you have a winner. The "mugging" in the second image detracts from the overall feel of the construction..
My sentiments exactly. I must say I don't usually like pictures that feature too much manipulation of this sort but you- executed wonderfully. It is essential I think that all of the expressions fit some logical progression or simple theme so try to get that middle picture with a good exposure but also a fitting expression. I feel like I almost know this person by seeing this sort of playful arrangements of their various faces...

thanks everyone once again for the comments... I'll redo the center image as suggested, it made more sense to me too.
nycks1:
it is very simple... use a black background and only one light (two for the center image). After all shots are selected open them in PhotoShop. Select one of the shots and re-size the canvas to at least 4x its width. Place a new layer as background and paint it all black. Copy and paste the other images into the large one, cutting and blending the necessary areas. Use your imagination and try different things... it should all be fun.
