Now stop complaining when you can't get your lighting/framing right from a single camera with a dedicated operator. I counted 33 cameras on that first one.
I know that guy, actually know of him. I have met him a few times and been to his studio. He is a very serious car shooter having done a ton of work for the big three and foreign automotives.
Reminds me of a page I saw a while ago of a sports shooter who'd rigged up three 1D3's at 10FPS each with a 400 2.8 and then triggered them each with a delay so precise (I can't remember if they were PW Multi's, but I doubt it) that he was able to get 30FPS, essentially. Now you can just buy a 5D2.

Being in the industrial automation biz I have a PLC on my test bench
that could trigger up to 300 cameras/flashes with millisecond precision.
Now the cameras/glass/strobes are another story...

Did not know the 5D2 could shoot at 10mp 30fps? Maybe I missed something.
I was implying that, for a lot of things, 1920x1080 is reasonably sufficient, and I'm sure that resolution will only increase in time. Look at the RED, they've already got the Scarlet 2/3 with 3k at 120FPS for $2.5k. No AF, but the tech is obviously there. Kind of ridiculous, really, considering Canon's been in this business for decades and RED's only been around a few years.
