p.1 #1 · Tools for mount conversion

I want to attempt mount conversion for some left over lenses.
I would like to know a source for screwdrivers. Paul Yates
recommends both #0 and #00 for the rokkor conversion.

Thanks for any help.

Hi Gary,

Either a #0 or #00 will work for the conversion. You should be able to get one at pretty much any hardware store. By the way these are phillips head #0 or #00.

Best wishes,

Steve

Be careful about applying significant torque to a camera screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Most camera equipment uses JIS or an equivalent crosspoint pattern, which look like Phillips from the top, but are much less deeply punched. A Phillips driver will only engage in the centre of the cross and will easily cam out, damaging the screw in the process.

See www.micro-tools.com for a selection of the proper drivers.

spanner wrenches, a dremel and belt sander are also useful tools, I find. And a rubber friction-grip type tool.
