thanks lyle. yeah i really like this style, always wanted to try it cuz it kinda fits in with the simple clean style i do with my car posters. took about 8 hours, but i have to admit about 75% of it was reading the help file in Illustrator.
btw, now that i've been back for a bit, i noticed no ledriver. he MIA now?
I haven't seen him in months Ethan. Hope everything's well with him.
Wish I had to gumption to try the vector programs out like Illustrator (actually have Inkscape), but the last time I even halfway tried them out was when I was partowner and typesetter for a now defunct Offset printing company that I started with my ex and her father. Had to use Photoshop, Illustrator, and QuarkExpress and all on a MAC with 9.2. lol
lyle - dude you did QuarkExpress too?! Man I haven't used that since I was 20 years old (11 years ago). But I hear it's still better than Indesign. Illustrator is pretty good though, but the problem I have with it is that it seems like you almost have to use Photoshop and Illustrator together to do anything complex with vector, whereas Photoshop can be used by itself for a lot of things. But that's just my imho with limited experience
ledriver - HOORAY! you're still here too! and yes, I do read the tutorials and try a bunch out, i find it's the best way to learn the software. if you do, be sure to post your results here.
