p.1 #1 · 580EX in Slave Mode

I want to set the 580ex as slave and in manual mode, can this be done and how?
I can set it to M in master mode but not in slave mode.
I'm using ST-E2 as master.

O.K got it, I must hold the mode button for 2 sec.

The ST-E2 itself can not do manual mode, however the 580EX can be done.

Place the ST-E2 on the camera as you normally would.

Set the 580EX to slave.
Press and hold the mode button on the flash and if I remember correctly after a couple seconds you can cycle to manual mode.

Use the dial and button on the dial to set the power level...
