I use the TS-E 90mm for shooting products and food but would like to try my hand at macro. Is there an ideal set-up using this lens?
No experience but I believe this lens is often used with extension tubes for near macro shots.

I have used it primarily for flowers. It gives a better DOF. I have also used it to get a shadow out of the photo. It is not all that useful for things that mvoe as the set up time is too long...John
Thanks Jon and e6 , it's the funky passion flower, Passiflora Caerulea, blossoms for 30 hours or so, one of my favourite winter (indoors) subjects. More shots can be found here http://eyvindness.zenfolio.com/p925404581
Yes. Works great for flowers... with 1.4xtc and/or tubes added. I mostly use it mounted on a tripod to allow for easier focusing. However, I have done a few handheld shots with it....
I want one! (although I want one in part so that I can take some of those creepy city-scape shots that make life-sized objects look like a model scale in photos )
