Was this a bit soft and then you applied a lot of sharpening to it? I see some pretty noticeable halo artifacts around 'Tony'.

It's actually the contrast of the lens; the color version has the same halo OOC.

That doesn't look like lens contrast. That's some sort of artifact. Maybe in-camera sharpening?
