p.2 #3 · Sharpening plug-in

Hi again,

I have some specific questions relative to the PK Sharpener trial I have. I have read through the manual and I want to make sure I understand a couple of settings etc.. 1) With capture sharpening, I assume I would use the Digital High-Resolution Sharpen with my 1DMK2S. If I use a N.R. plug-in such as N.N. or Noiseware would I ever need to use the Digital High-Resolution and Smooth filter option? I am assuming that the smoothing gets rid of noise, hence the question. 2) With output sharpening, would I use Inkjet 360 with an Epson 3800 and Epson Luster paper? The manual stated that the Luster behaves more like Glossy.

Thanks,

Jim

Yes, for 1Ds cameras use the digital high resolution setting. You wouldn't need their smoothing if you use your own solution. Just remember to use yours first. Yes, luster, semi-gloss and glossy papers use the glossy sharpening routines.
