I've been playing around with a fisheye in the fog over the past coupla weeks. This was HDR'd and then partially desaturated. I think I had a dream about this scene once; it's kind of deja vu for me for some reason.
I think I have had a dream like this before. I really love the mist you captured in the image, as well as how you desaturated the image (really adds to the mood). I am a huge fan of the leading lines that you used, and it is interesting how the fisheye curved those lines in the pier. Also interesting how the man is looking out to the distance, while the birds on the right are just minding their business. There is so much going on in this image! Keep up the good work rainy!
Thanks for the comments Eric. I'm really enjoying the fisheye. I thought it was just going to be a novelty when I first bought it, but I'm really liking the flexibility it can offer.
The fog and reflections maybe characterize the lone figure at the end of the dock, eh? He appears to be absorbed in his own reflections, and maybe sorting his thoughts...
Technically speaking, I like the lead in lines of the rails best.
An effective, complex and interesting composition. The processing on this image is unique and oozes with style. I like the way you think about these photos. They work as so much more than a static image. They make one think.
