Great series Steve, you make it tough to pick any faves...
...but #1 is an excellent shot of the Cormorant, great moment.
The Egrets are superb, great job on controlling the whites without losing the beautiful BG's.
2 and 5 are awesome, excellent work!
Looks like a fish fest, Steve Some great shots in this set. Love that one of the suspended in air egret, but dang, them fish munching shots are all sweet!

Great series. I vote for 2, 4, 5 and 6 and if I was to pick only one, it'd be #2. Superb control of the highlights. And no crop to boot. Wow.
Thanks for the kind remarks

Beauties, Steve, especially #2. Taken with the 1DMk3 & 400 f5.6
IMO, no such thing as too tight a crop when you are trying to show detail, or can't move back because you are using a prime.

Thanks Tony, these were captured with the MK3 and the 500 as far as rules go I believe in breaking rules when they don't hurt anyone and your trying to get a point across
Sometimes getting in tight to show detail like you pointed out can work in you favor, not always, I kinnda like the way the tightness of the fish shows the detail in the fish and the water runoff, Drama Man
